There are several books designed to perpare you for the NCLEX.
I have no clue the college you went to, but they are supposed to design their tests like the NCLEX exams.
You get around one minute per question.

I am in eighth grade, but taking two 9th grade honors courses (math and science). Finals for us begin on June 20th (a month from today). I think I should get started studying for finals, but I don’t know where to start. Does anyone have any tips on how to study best?

I also have another problem. My house is pretty noisy, and I have no place to study. I can’t go to the kitchen table, and I can only really sit on my bed. Should I go to the library, or what?

Well the best way to do it is to study like for 30 mins-60 mins per day. When the house is noisy, try out side..or maybe when they are in bed….study? The library is good too! On a avg…every hr in class u spend a half an hr studing…so…..yea… GOOD LUCK!

It’s exam time for me, and I would love to be able to study at home..but I always get distracted! I’m trying to avoid coffee shops and such because I’m trying to stay away from junk food.
Please tell me how to stay alert. Any tips will help! Thanks

Try to find a quiet place where you know you won’t be distracted. Try to go to a library, since there wont be any food there to distract you!

Tips to stay alert :
Don’t keep making excuses to stop studying, i.e. going to the bathroom, checking your email, texting your friends.

Try putting on some classical music while you study but if you can’t concentrate then don’t. Do it a few times, and if you find it too distracting, turn it off. Some people like it, some don’t.

After 30 – 45 minutes, take a 10 minute break to relax, get a snack, and settle down, so you don’t feel restless. Or have the urge to stop.

If you decide to study at home switch off the TV. It distracts you easily.

Don’t go on youtube, it’s VERY addictive.

Remember, if its the day before a test play games and watch television BEFORE you study. It has been proven that if you study first (and play around after) you will forget a lot of what you have just learned.

Don’t try all-nighters. They leave you tired and confused. Get plenty of sleep, be sure to eat a good breakfast the day of the exam. It always helped me to “tutor” other students, going over my notes by explaining things to someone else. I also drew life cycles and such things out on a board (white board or chalk board, whatever you have available.) If I can explain something to someone else, I am more likely to remember how to explain it on the exam.
